This is my first post about travelling madness. Yes, on March 2012 (i forget what date exactly) we escaped Jakarta for a while to have holiday in Ujung Genteng beach, which is situated in sub-distcrict Ciracap, Sukabumi regency. It's about 230km from the downtown of Sukabumi and spent for almost 6-8 hrs from Jakarta. i went with my family (include kids) as it has been planned since in the beginning of this year and thank God it HAPPENED not just raw planning. Firstly, if you have plan to come here make sure you don't use city car (like karimun or yaris), minbus car or jeep is quite better since the road topography is little damaged, besides its curve road can make us drunk, so your car is the solution to make your trip comfy.
What i love the most from this beach is its QUITE AMBIANCE and white sand, if you plan to visit private beach, Ujung Genteng is the answer. For your information, only our family and 2 couples expatriates who stay nearby, so we can freely scream, swim, run and kid in the shoreline at that time. This beach is well known by its panorama, isolated and less tourist, thus the water is purely good and not poluted.

Well, we stay in an big inn, plain yet COMFORT. Named as adventure, my brother who manages this inn with her wife. He usually rents this inn for public with price range 200.000 idr-250.000 idr/ night, meals can be prepared as well.

If you see the picture beside, the inn can facilitate for abaout 20 people or more, depends on your budget. So if you want to have cheap holiday, i suggest you to rent this inn. For additional information, my brother can hire a maid to cook and you don't need to get meals far away from the beach since they will prepare for you if you want.

| Baby turttle release |
Not too far from here (appr. 2KM), you can find one of the famous site from this tourism, it's turttle breeding (preservation). If you're lucky you can also see the release of baby turttle to the sea. It's usually hold every day before the sun set. The tourist will be given one baby turttle to be released and it was very exciting.
At night, the air is quite fresh and humid not too hot (dry) like another beach in Indonesia, so we don't need air con in each room. For dinner time, we asked local people (the inn guard) to grill some fishes, squid, and of course shrimp. All the ingrediennts have been prepared by them, so don't worry to get run the foods out.
In the end, taking your family, friend or lover to this beach is promptly advised. Your long hours trip wil be paid and deserved for an awesome beach ever. Quoting Jim Butcher's statement about family: “When everything goes to hell, the people who stand by you without flinching -- they are your family." This quote is very touchy, your family is your last shelter when nobody accepts you. For me, sharing laughter, joy and happiness with family is priceless. Honestly, this trip make our bond relationship deeply tight day by day. Thank God for sending them and being part of my life.
